2018 Pavement Preservation Project

This project consists of the application of a rejuventating agent for pavement preservation. The intended use of an asphalt rejuvenator is to keep good roads in good condition and extend the service life to avoid costly rehabiliation. The scope consists of sweeping streets prior to treatment. Then, a disributor truck is used to apply the rejuventation agent, Reclamite, at a uniform rate. The agent is applied one-half width of the pavement at a time. After the rejuvenating agent has penetrated, a coating of dry sand is applied to allow the agent to further cure. The sand is then swept the following day.
