McAllen- Let’s Move McAllen! Children kindergarten through eighth grades are invited to participate in the kickoff of the McAllen Kids Marathon.
The event is FREE and children will run/walk their first mile toward their marathon goal, as well as participate in the McAllen ISD Let’s Move! Pep Rally Saturday, Sept. 26 at 8 a.m.
The City of McAllen will also host a grand opening of the McAllen Sports Park, located at 3301 Buddy Owens Blvd.
Miss USA First Runner-up Ylianna Guerra and McAllen Mayor Jim Darling will be the special guest speakers at the kickoff.
