In honor of Flag Day, the McAllen Public Library will host an official ceremony to retire the facility’s worn flags on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. American Legion Post 37 will lead the burning service, with assistance from the McAllen Fire Department.
South Texas veterans will also be in attendance for the Flag Day ceremony. The library’s children’s department will be having flag-related crafts inside for families that attend the observance.
