Arbor Day Celebration Set for Saturday, March 7, 2015

by Public Information Office | Feb 17, 2015

Keep McAllen Beautiful will be hosting the 4th annual Arbor Day Celebration. We invite everyone to come out and participate. Get active, celebrate trees, and enjoy the beautiful RGV spring weather. The Arbor Day Celebration is a fun-filled day where you can participate in a timed 5K or 10K, or do a Bike Criterium (race) sanctioned by the USA Cycling Association.  Or, if you prefer, you can do a 25-mile bike tour or a Family Fun Walk along our Hike & Bike Trail.

Arbor Day is a day when we celebrate nature's gift of trees, the tall providers of shade, fruit, fun, and habitat for many different kinds of wildlife. This Arbor Day, you can come out and make a difference by helping us establish a dedicated tree-planting fund for McAllen by participating in any of the race events, and by learning about planting some trees yourself.

Together, we are making our city greener, cooler, and more beautiful!
