“In 2020, the United States will conduct the once-a-decade census, a mandate in the U.S. Constitution,” said McAllen Mayor Jim Darling. “That may feel like a long way off, but preparations have already begun, and the U.S. Census needs the community’s help getting in the count right for the Rio Grande Valley.”
The U.S. Census is currently hiring hundreds of thousands of employees to make this happen and they have jobs available in every city across the country, and some right here in the area, including the Lead Census Field Manager; Administrative Manager; and Area Census Office Manager. In order to be considered, all applicants must reside in the McAllen local commuting area.
