McAllen, TX – Delta Air Lines will start its ticket sale on December 16, 2023 to provide three daily nonstop service from McAllen International Airport (MFE) to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) beginning April 22, 2024. In Delta’s recent announcement, Joe Esposito, Delta’s S.V.P. – Network Planning, states: "This expansion not only creates an access point to diverse opportunities for business, leisure, and cultural exploration spanning Texas and beyond but also solidifies Delta’s commitment to being a key player in Austin’s evolving landscape. Austin is growing rapidly, and this 20% increase in capacity mirrors that growth as we look to provide our customers with unparalleled convenience in the region.”

This route will connect our McAllen community with business, educational opportunities, and family and friends. This new convenient non-stop service to the Texas’ capital was much needed, and we are proud to operate this air service in Spring of 2024,” said McAllen Mayor, Javier Villalobos.
The new year-round route will operate three daily flights connecting McAllen with an essential destination for business, and education. With the addition of this new route, McAllen International Airport will now serve seven vibrant nonstops.
