Construction of storm system improvements
As the City of McAllen moves forward with the Mona Avenue Drainage Improvements project, storm infrastructure construction will cause a road closure along Mona Avenue.
The roadway will be closed to all through traffic between 23rd Street and End of Mona Avenue and begin on Tuesday, February 22, 2024, and expected to be completed by April 29, 2024.
Motorists are urged to find alternate routes during the road closure and exercise extreme caution and patience when traveling along in the area. Motorists should expect some delays and congestion.
