Asphalt pavement repair

As the City of McAllen moves forward with asphalt repaving of Violet Ave from 1st Street to 2^nd Street, Violet Avenue will be closed to all traffic for the duration of the asphalt repair. 

Expected closure will be for Tuesday April 16, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. until Wednesday, April 17, 2024, 8:00 a.m. 

Motorists are urged to find alternate routes during the road closure and exercise extreme caution and patience when traveling along the area.  Motorists should expect some delays and congestion.
