Phase 1 construction of concrete pavement
As the City of McAllen begins the 6th Street and La Vista Avenue roadway improvement project, concrete pavement construction will cause a closure at 6th St. from La Vista Ave. to Walnut Ave.
The roadway will be closed to all through traffic at 6th St. from La Vista Ave. to Walnut Ave. and will begin on Monday, July 8, 2024 and expected to be completed by Friday, July 12, 2024.
Motorists are urged to find alternate routes during the road closure and exercise extreme caution and patience when traveling along in the area. Motorists should expect some delays and congestion.
