Fingerprinting

The Crime Records Unit offers digital print fingerprinting services on FBI or Texas cards to citizens. For electronic submissions to the State of Texas or the FBI, contact the FAST program at (512) 424-2365 or visit them online at: http://www.l1enrollment.com/state/?st=tx.

Fingerprinting services are currently available for:

  • Employment
  • Background checks
  • School licenses
  • Pilot license
  • Housing
  • Concealed Handgun license (except for the state of Texas)

Fingerprint services are NOT conducted for Immigration or Consulate purposes. Contact your local Immigration/Consulate office.

Request for Fingerprints

Fingerprint services are conducted in person at the McAllen Police Department located at 1601 N Bicentennial Blvd, McAllen, Texas during the hours of 8am – 11am (Monday – Friday). For questions regarding fingerprinting services, contact our Crime Records Unit at (956) 681-2092.

Proper identification is required to perform fingerprinting services request (i.e. state issued Driver’s license, state issued ID, military ID, Alien registration card, and/or Passport). All identification must be current and valid in order to process fingerprints. Fingerprint services for concealed handgun license must be accompanied by photographs. Photographs must be signed by employee performing fingerprint service.

The McAllen Police Department does NOT provide fingerprint cards. Cards must be obtained prior to service being conducted. Contact your employer or agency prior to obtaining fingerprinting services.

Fees

Services may be paid by cash/check/money order in person and only by check through the mail. Make check/money order payable to the City of McAllen. Do not send cash.
