The McAllen Chamber of Commerce is already gearing up for the 31st Annual Candlelight Posada and Parade to be held December 7, in downtown McAllen. The event, which drew an estimated 35,000 people last year, features a live nativity procession and a lighted parade with over 100 entries and Santa Claus! The parade winds down at Archer Park where there will be 3 stages of live entertainment and plenty of delightful food.
Business owners who'd like to sponsor the event may contact the McAllen Chamber of Commerce at (956) 682-2871. Non-profit organizations who'd like to raise money selling food at Archer Park can start reserving a booth. Parade entries are already being accepted, too. There is no entry fee for non-profit organizations however, there is a $50 fee for commercial entries.
