About the Department
The Office of Communications & McAllen Cable Network (MCN) serves as the official voice of the City of McAllen.
Our mission is to inform, engage, and inspire the community through internal and external strategic communication, digital innovation, and storytelling that highlights McAllen’s growth, values, and people.
From public information and media relations to digital content creation, video production, and community outreach, we work to keep residents connected and informed about city initiatives, events, services, and opportunities that will benefit future generations.
Our Services
MCN manages and produces content across multiple platforms, including:
Public Information & Media Relations – Press releases, interviews, and official city statements.
Video Production & Photojournalism – Broadcast-quality storytelling for the McAllen Cable Network and digital platforms.
