The public is invited to a Native Sounds Concert in the Park at Quinta Mazatlan in McAllen on Thursday, February 13th, 6:00 p.m on the front lawn of the historic adobe home. The concert features the group YETLANEZI which translates to “cosmic dawn”. The group has created a new generation of indigenous music that is based on today’s digital world.
The YETLANEZI sound is a mixture of textures that blends ancient indigenous earth-based instruments with the electronic influences of the digital age. Lead artist Ce Acatl Borsegui shares “the sound represents an entire generation by paying homage to our indigenous heritage as we forge a story of its own”.
Celebrate the valentine’s season at the Concert in the Park, $5.00 admission at the gate. Quinta Mazatlan is located at 600 Sunset in McAllen, one block south of La Plaza Mall on 10th Street. For more information contact Quinta Mazatlan at (956) 681-3370 or visit www.quintamazatlan.com.
