McAllen- McAllen native Ylianna Guerra, the 1st runner up in the Miss USA pageant, arrives today at 2 p.m. at McAllen International Airport. A delegation of city leaders and community members will welcome the first Miss Texas USA titleholder from the Rio Grande Valley since the 1960s.
The Memorial High School alum garnered the 1st runner up spot among 51 other beauty queens at the Miss USA 2015 pageant held in Baton Rouge, LA on Sunday.
The recent graduate of The University of the Incarnate Word is the daughter of Carlos and Yrma Guerra. She has worked with various nonprofit organizations such as the Make-A-wish Foundation, Easter Seals and the Texas Children’s Hospital.
