McALLEN – Keep McAllen Beautiful will be celebrating its’ 5th Anniversary of the Arbor Day Celebration. Get active, celebrate trees, and enjoy the beautiful RGV spring weather. The Arbor Day Celebration is a fun-filled day where anyone can participate in a timed 5K or 10K run, a Family Fun Walk along our Hike & Bike Trail. Or for a bigger challenge, a 25 mile bike tour! All events commence at Municipal Park. We invite everyone to come out and participate.
Arbor Day is a day when we celebrate nature's gift of trees, the tall providers of shade, fruit, fun, and habitat for many different kinds of wildlife. This Arbor Day, you can come out and make a difference by helping us establish a dedicated tree-planting fund for McAllen by participating in any of our events, and by learning for McAllen’s Urban Forester about planting and caring for your trees. Join us for fun, food, and some beautiful tree giveaways!
