McALLEN, TX- The South Pole Illuminated Festival presented by H-E-B and the City of McAllen are thrilled to announce Lone Star National Bank as the latest sponsor for this year's event. This exciting partnership aims to bring more joy and wonder to families during the festival season.
As part of this collaboration, Lone Star National Bank will be offering a special promotion: children under the age of 12 will gain free entrance to the South Pole Illuminated Festival Tuesday through Thursday until Dec 14, 2023, with the purchase of an adult ticket. This initiative reflects the bank's commitment to community engagement and family-friendly experiences.

The South Pole Illuminated Festival kicks off tonight Wednesday, November 29 with the City of McAllen’s Official Tree Lighting Ceremony, starting at 5:30 p.m. Attendees will enjoy performances from the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard Drill Team and the McAllen Wind Ensemble, as well as. witness the lighting of America’s Tallest Digital Christmas Tree. Entrance is free tonight only before 6:00 p.m.
A multitude of attractions will be available at the South Pole Illuminated Festival, which runs through December 30, 2023, ensuring a memorable experience for all attendees. These attractions include illuminated lanterns, a fully illuminated Oval Park, photos with Santa, train rides, gingerbread house crafting, hot cocoa, a food court, artisan market, holiday carnival, petting zoo, and much more. Weekend visitors will also enjoy the South Pole fireworks spectacular.
