Construction of storm system improvements
As the City of McAllen moves forward with the Dove Avenue Roadway Extension Improvements project, construction of the Bentsen Road and Dove Avenue intersection will cause full closure along Bentsen Road.
The roadway will be closed to all through traffic between Buddy Owens Blvd (3 Mile Lane) to Lark Avenue (4 Mile Lane) and will begin on Monday, December 11, 2023 and expected to be completed by December 22, 2023.
Motorists are urged to find alternate routes during the road closure and exercise extreme caution and patience when traveling along in the area. Motorists should expect some delays and congestion.
