Construction of storm system improvements
As the City of McAllen moves forward with the N. Main Street Drainage Improvements project, storm infrastructure construction will cause a road closure along N. Main Street.
The roadway will be closed to all through traffic between Fir Avenue and Gumwood Avenue beginning on Tuesday, February 22, 2024, and expected to be completed by Wednesday, May 22, 2024.
Motorists are urged to find alternate routes during the road closure and exercise extreme caution and patience when traveling along in the area. Motorists should expect some delays and congestion.
