McAllen, TX – – Today McAllen City Commissioners District 2, Joaquin "J.J." Zamora, and District 4, Rodolfo "Rudy" Castillo and a McAllen Delegation led by City Manager Roel "Roy" Rodriguez, P.E. hosted "McAllen Day" in Mexico City, in collaboration with McAllen Chamber of Commerce President & CEO Elizabeth Suarez, and Chairman of the Board, Jim Darling.
During "McAllen Day", Director of Aviation Jeremy Santoscoy, P.E., highlighted the newest daily non-stop McAllen (MFE) - Felipe Ángeles International Airport (NLU) in partnership with Aeromexico. This promotional event aimed to present tourism, hospitality, retail, and events options to Mexico's travel industry and specialized media. The attendees learned about the destination and all the year-round festivals they can enjoy.
"Visiting Mexico promoting McAllen and the endless opportunities we offer visitors is essential to support our newest non-stop McAllen-Mexico. In McAllen, we understand the importance of Mexico's market and the strong relationships we have developed over the years, not only for business but also because we are friends and family," Commissioner District 4, Rodolfo "Rudy" Castillo said.
