Construction of storm system improvements
As the City of McAllen moves forward with the Quinta Mazatlan Center for Urban Ecology project, storm infrastructure construction will cause a road closure along Bales Road.
The roadway will be closed to all through traffic between S 10th St. and S 6th Ln. beginning on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, and expected to be completed by Friday, April 12, 2024.
Motorists are urged to find alternate routes during the road closure and exercise extreme caution and patience when traveling along in the area. Motorists should expect some delays and congestion.
