Bicentennial Boulevard Ribbon Cutting Ceremony



The final section of Bicentennial Blvd. is complete. This section of the boulavard stretches from the intersection of Freddy Gonzalez to S.H. 107 and includes right & left turn lanes at intersections, sidewalks, storm and wastewater infrastructure along with a noise barrier. The Extension was funded by the Federal Highway Administration, Texas Department of Transportation and the Rio Grande Valley Metropolitan Planning Organization (RGV MPO) and additional local enteties.

Bicentennial Boulevard Beautification



The Bicentennial and Frontage Beautification Project and creation of the Urban Forest was completed by the McAllen Parks & Recreation crews. The project included planting various native plants and installation of fencing along Bicentennial Blvd.
