Latina Hope



Latina Hope was developed by the McAllen Chamber of Commerce to inspire and educate women on starting their own businesses. The twice-a-year event creates a strong mechanism to help women start micro-business and produce additional revenues for their households. WTG!

Dia de Los Muertos



The traditon of the Day of the Dead celebration was brought to life at the McAllen International Airport. An offerda, or alter, was created to pay hommage to loved ones who have passed.

Summer Solstice



On the longest day of the year, what to do…..? Join us at Quinta Mazatlan and celebrate the summer soltice with fun and games.

Veteran's Day



McAllen Fire Department Honor Guard led the commemoration of Veterans’ Day. The ceremony was held in front of the obelisk called the “American Spire of Honor” which resides in the center of the Veteran’s War Memorial of the Rio Grande Valley.

Women's History Month



The City of McAllen graciously honored its many female department heads, trailblazers and exemplary staff during Women’s History Month.
