The Strategy Management Department helps align the City’s strategic goals with Budgetary needs and advises City Leadership on the most cost effective and impactful projects to improve the City. This leads to the creation of the City’s Strategic Business Plan.
Department helps in Citizen Surveys and Internal City Staff Surveys that help improve performance of City operations and services.
In addition, the department helps Management on Economic Incentive Agreements that encourage companies to choose the City of McAllen as a place to do business. This involves closely monitoring Macro & Microeconomic Events, social trends, and changing demographics to advise City Leadership of need for strategic pivoting or maneuvering in an ever-changing landscape.
