• McAllen 23-Acre Park

The City of McAllen is developing a new 20-acre campground at 8701 N. 23rd St. to enhance outdoor recreation for residents and visitors that will open in September 2025. The campground will feature fishing, kayaking, camping, archery, bike trails, and nature paths. Part of the $1.2 million Kappler Park project, the site will include a lake, bike and walking trails, an archery field, a fishing pier, a gazebo, and a multi-purpose meadow.
