2018 Bond – Traffic Fiber & Cabinet/Controller Installation
Bond projects includes the installation of new controllers and cabinets along major corridors. Additional, fiber lines are being extended in order to allow communications to the Traffic Management Center for real time signal troubleshooting. Lastly, a comprehensive traffic study will be conducted to provide updated timing plans for the major corridors.

Construction Status: Traffic Operations staff has completed the installation/upgrade of traffic cabinets along the 10th Street and 2nd Street and is continuing on 23rd Street. Traffic Operations and IT Staff are working to obtain permits for 23rd Street and 10th Street.
Wi-Fi equipment has been installed at 12 signals along 10th Street and 7 signals along 23rd Street. These signals, along with those currently connected via fiber, are continued to be monitored remotely.
Staff has sought out quotes for the video wall to be part of the Traffic Management Center and will be working with IT to select the best system for our needs
